Have we identified yet WHICH KCPD the OP means?

They went to encryption a week or so ago. So you're not going to be able to hear anything more from kcpd. I have seen them pop up a couple of times since i think was East patrol.

Nearly all (if not all) the Unidens mute P25 encryption. Joe M.

Depends on the scanner or in some cases, settings. Since this is the SDS100 group, I assume we are talking about the SDS100. To be honest, I don't remember for sure, but I recall it goes silent.

used hear all, all sudden no audio. does encryptions make noise or silent?

Have you ever heard anything on this ID? If it shows up but no audio it probably went encrypted.

Bob, And yes, you'll likely need access to a computer running Windows (Parallels on MacOS--at least prior to the M1 chip--should be OK too), at least for the use of EZ-SCAN (Whistler) and/or Sentinel
