Re: SDS-100 Charging
JD. This is great news. I thought if I break my clip I'd have to send the unit in for repair.

Re: SDS-100 Charging
My SDS-100 gets quite warm but I don't think it's charging that generates all that heat. I've always assumed it's the CPU which does a lot of work when the scanner is turned on. I don't think you

Regarding the SMA connection and the battery door latch, if you’re at all active on FB, join the “Uniden BCD436HP / BCD536HP / SDS200 / SDS100 Scanner Owner’s Group” and look for Johnathan

Re: SDS-100 Charging
My SDS100 has been plugged in (usb) and perched on a metal stand for over a year now - 12-14 hrs a day and in a hard leather case from Scanner Master. No heat no worries. In fact, I have not had any

This is just another reason why I only charge the batteries for my various radios using a MaHa charger and not in the radio

Re: SDS-100 Charging
Just bough SDS-100 and I'm afraid to charge the unit with battery inside so will buy external charger and extra battery. Unit does get very hot and probably will last longer using external charger.

Re: BCT15X Rear Remote Connector
It's been years since I set the port speed on a 15, but try this:
MENU button
SETTINGS
SET SERIAL PORT
SET BAUD RATE
SET REAR PORT
119200

Re: BCT15X Rear Remote Connector
Joe
Not sure how to change the port speed.
I'll never use the GPS here at home. I just want to get away from using the front connector.
Thanks
Randy

Re: BCT15X Rear Remote Connector
Just change the speed of the rear port to 119200. Keep in
mind GPS will no longer work unless you set it back to 4800.

Re: BCT15X Rear Remote Connector
I did get the rear connector to work.
I used a null modem adapter and let FreeScan auto scan the serial port. It worked with 4800 baud on the rear. I was using 115200 baud on the front port.
Seems to

Could be, but a lard that large should be fast enough.
It's the small cards that could be too slow.
Still, when anything is not formatted
correctly, that is the place to start.

I have been reading these posts and I wanted to add, “Isn’t there an issue with the speed of the card?”
