On the Dells I've had to set, they just use the standard stereo 3.5mm audio cable. When you plug it in a popup comes up and asks how it is to be used. Select LINE IN. Joe M.

Trying to use the record function in Proscan. This is a Dell Laptop. That option is supposed to appear, but I have been unable to implement that. So this is a Dell Laptop specific question.

Are you trying to basically listen to the audio from the scanner? WHen you plug the scanner in (using a 3.5mm audio patch cable), the laptop should prompt you, headset or microphone. Say Microphone.

I use an Audio to USB adapter.

Yeah, I've programmed a 536 with Sentinel set as a SDS, and so far no problems that I see... I program my SDS100 and 536 the same.

Settings not in the 100 (like the dim control) will be set to default, but generally you are fine doing that. Joe M.

I’ve had an SDS100 for over a year and just got a 200. In getting it all set up, I wrote from my computer to the scanner in sentinel. It copied all the display settings and favorites lists right

I deleted systems 2&3 and set them up again. Working again since I did that. I was using Freescan for awhile and I am thinking I probably did something wrong there to stop them from scanning.I deleted

Had the same problem when I unboxed and set up my SDS100. Edit Favorites List in Sentinel, Select your favorite that is not scanning, select options and make sure you have the correct Quick Key, ten

It’s saying that they are unlocked, but I guess I don’t know how to re enable the group(s).

try powering off the radio and then power back on. my Uniden 536 will re-enable locked out *frequencies* this way. worth a try. Rich via iPad

Should a group number display when they are scanning? Right now I just have system 2&3 in the display and it is saying Scan Mode. nothing to scan.
