Re: Antenna for my minivan

I bought this magnetic antenna through Amazon, works well. I would, however, the the BNC connector end. I somehow ordered the PL-259 end, but a PL-259 to BNC converter took care of that.

Very interesting antenna, Bernie. I was wondering if you monitor airbands with it? Thanks, Craig Watervliet NY

I bought the Compactenna scanner antenna and a mag-mount for it. Only
8 inches tall so never has to come off for parking garages. Very rugged and seems to receive well. I bought an extension cable to go from the PL-259 coax connector to the scanner's SMA connector. Not cheap, but works well. Ham Radio Outlet carries them. -- Bob Peloquin

Buy Parallels for $79 and install Windows 10. It’ll ask you to activate but all you lose are some personalization features if you don’t. Runs Sentinel fine.

The reason is market share..
In the area of desktop and laptop computers, Microsoft Windows is generally above 70% in most markets and at 77% globally, Apple's macOS at around 13%, Google's ChromeOS at about 6% (in the US) and Linux at around 2%. All these figures vary somewhat in different markets, and depending on how they are gathered.
Apple says there are 100 million mac users. And there is over 4000 million windows 10 users alone.

Perhaps because MAC users are not a big enough market to justify the development expense? Same reason there is little malware for mac. The market it too small to attract a lot of attention from malware writers.

Hi, kinda off the subject of bad battery, but I also have an HP 1 and was picking up almost zero. I was advised it would do no good to order the programmed card for HP 1 so I ordered the HP 2 with a new programmed card and pick up just the areas I am most interested in. I love listening to my scanner 24/7 No my question, are you picking up good frequencies with your HP 1? Thank you Barbara in Mississippi,
