I like that shop...got my 245 and 246t there....might have met UPman, but didn't know him. He gave good info, but never wasted words.

I got to hang out with him for maybe an hour when I worked at Ham Radio Outlet in Oakland. He was there for the day to introduce Uniden's scanners to our customers. He seemed like a very nice guy. I enjoyed being with him.

I just received word that Paul Opitz (UPMan) passed away Saturday from
his long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family when he passed.

That is all the news I have at this time.

To say he will be missed is an understatement.
