I’m sure Uniden will make things right for you. On the rare occasion that I have needed their support it’s always been good. 

(What about HRO’s return policy do you find unlawful or questionable?)

HRO would not replace (15 day return policy), so I shipped it to Uniden under mfr. warranty. As a 50+ year commercial law attorney I might have questioned HRO's return policy, but it wasn't worth making an issue with a highly respected company that has served the industry, and me, well. Hopefully, Uniden will diagnose, repair or replace.
