I haven’t used the Austin Condor since when I had the Regency HX1000, back in the 80s. As for the Larsen 150/500/800 (if I have that right), it works great on VHF-Low. Let’ just say I have no complain

Yes, and the Condor has mixed reviews. I've never tried one myself but I hope to someday. It's a good example of a compromise. If only you had not needed Low Band, the stock antenna would be a fairly
