Wygant modified BC796D "SOLVED"

Wygant was sold a few years ago. I found the CEO's name and emailed him at his new company. His reply:

I think that the modification is just to take the audio output and feed it to a connector that allowed us to read data on the PC.

I found on Radio Reference a reference that bypassing the record out port on the back gave a much better audo output. This must be that type of mod. It was interesting that they replaced the normal front plate on the BC796D and replaced it with one that said "Wygant Trunk Radio Recorder" in the space above the screen where it normally says "Bearcat Trunktracker IV". The scanner also has a larger female plug port on the rear plate too.

Never heard of Wygant and nothing comes up on Google. Typo?

Can anyone tell me what modifications Wygant offered on the BC796D. After some Internet search I think it is a type of voice or voice/display recording. Anyone have info, manual, how it works, etc. Thanks in advance for any help.
