does anybody know how to program one of these.i heard it can be done over the internet but its expencive.

You can get free software. I used Pro=Scan with mine. Worth the price I think.

If you go to www.radioreference.com, click on the Reference Database button, and then point to where in the US you are on the map, you will get almost all the frequencies that are of interest in your county.  Then program the ones you like into your radio.  John Watson, NY3K
